Mannon Metal Works LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Field Welder to perform mobile welding, fabrication, and repair services on-site for agricultural, commercial, and industrial clients. This role involves working outdoors in variable conditions to repair or fabricate farm equipment, excavator buckets, and custom metal structures.      1. AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification (American Welding Society)
          Covers welding of structural steel in commercial, industrial, and construction applications.
          Required for working on high-strength steel structures.
     2. AWS D1.3 Sheet Metal Welding Certification
          Ideal for welding thinner sheet metal used in various industries.
     3. AWS D17.1 Aerospace Welding Certification
          Covers precision welding of aluminum and stainless steel.
     4. ASME Section IX Pipe Welding Certification
          Certification for high-pressure pipe welding, required for industrial and manufacturing work.
     5. OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Safety Certification
          Ensures compliance with workplace safety regulations.
          Required for working on some commercial job sites.
     6. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Pathway

How We Support Certification
Reimbursement for Exam & Testing Fees – Mannon Metal Works covers a portion or full cost of certification exams for employees who pass.
On-the-Job Training & Test Prep – Welders can gain hands-on experience to prepare for certification tests.

Eligibility for Certification Assistance
     • Must be employed with Mannon Metal Works for at least 6 months.
     • Must demonstrate proficiency in welding techniques related to the certification.
     • Must commit to remaining with the company for at least one year after receiving certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to customer job sites to perform welding and fabrication tasks
• Set up mobile welding rig and ensure operational readiness
• Perform MIG, Stick (and optionally TIG) welds in variable field conditions
• Repair farm equipment, attachments, structural components, or machinery
• Communicate with customers and the supervisor to confirm job requirements
• Inspect completed welds for quality, integrity, and fit
• Load/unload tools and equipment from truck and trailer
• Maintain safety standards and wear all required PPE
• Keep truck/workspace clean and stocked with essential tools and materials

Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years of welding experience preferred
• Proven experience working independently on mobile job sites
• Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and basic TIG welding
• Strong understanding of weld safety and mobile rig operations
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• CDL or trailer-hauling experience a plus
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and climb in outdoor environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Dependable, punctual, and self-directed

Work Environment

• Work performed at customer sites: farms, job sites, remote locations
• Exposure to weather, uneven ground, dust, sparks, and loud equipment
• Physical labor required: lifting, squatting, moving parts and machinery
• May involve emergency or after-hours calls (optional, based on availability)
