Mannon Metal Works LLC is seeking a dedicated Welder Helper to assist in metal fabrication, welding, and repair services for farm, ranch, industrial, and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with experienced welders to prepare materials, maintain tools, and support welding operations in both shop and field settings.

     1. AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification (American Welding Society)
          Covers welding of structural steel in commercial, industrial, and construction applications.
          Required for working on high-strength steel structures.
     2. AWS D1.3 Sheet Metal Welding Certification
          Ideal for welding thinner sheet metal used in various industries.
     3. AWS D17.1 Aerospace Welding Certification
          Covers precision welding of aluminum and stainless steel.
     4. ASME Section IX Pipe Welding Certification
          Certification for high-pressure pipe welding, required for industrial and manufacturing work.
     5. OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Safety Certification
          Ensures compliance with workplace safety regulations.
          Required for working on some commercial job sites.

How We Support Certification
Reimbursement for Exam & Testing Fees – Mannon Metal Works covers a portion or full cost of certification exams for employees who pass.
On-the-Job Training & Test Prep – Welders can gain hands-on experience to prepare for certification tests.

Eligibility for Certification Assistance
     • Must be employed with Mannon Metal Works for at least 6 months.
     • Must demonstrate proficiency in welding techniques related to the certification.
     • Must commit to remaining with the company for at least one year after receiving certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist welders in setting up and positioning materials for welding and fabrication.
• Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, cleaning, and cutting materials.
• Operate basic tools, including grinders, saws, and drills, to assist in fabrication.
• Move, load, and unload heavy materials safely using proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
• Assist in fitting, measuring, and assembling metal components.
• Provide on-site support for mobile welding jobs, ensuring materials and tools are ready.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Learn and develop welding skills under the supervision of experienced welders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience in a metalworking or construction environment is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to follow directions.
• Familiarity with welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) is a bonus.
• Must have reliable transportation to the shop and job sites.

Work Environment:

• May work in indoor and outdoor environments, including farm sites, workshops, and industrial locations.
• Exposure to heat, sparks, and heavy machinery—safety precautions must always be followed.
• Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
